Retix game modes

Four modes, each with its own win condition and its own clock. The numbers below are the ones the server actually enforces.

Team Deathmatch

Four against four, four minutes. Two teams, and the side with more kills when the clock runs out takes it. The shortest mode in the game and the one that fills fastest.

Free For All

Up to eight players, no teams, four minutes. First to 30 kills ends it early; otherwise the highest score at the buzzer wins. Everyone is a target, including whoever is currently leading — and the leader is marked.

Domination

Two teams, up to eight players, ten minutes. Capture and hold the objective points; each capture is worth points, and the first team to 10 wins. Longer than the deathmatch modes because holding ground takes longer than trading kills.

Battle Royale

Up to 50 players and no match timer — it ends when one side is left. You land with nothing and pick weapons up off the ground, which is why the pickup and drop controls only exist here.

Playing against bots

If a lobby is short of players, bots fill the empty seats so a match still starts rather than leaving you waiting. You can also pick the bot difficulty directly from the home screen and play a mode on your own.
