Terms of Service

These terms cover retix.io and the Retix game, operated by retix in South Korea. Playing means accepting them.

Who may play

You must be at least 14 years old to create an account. If you are under 14, a legal guardian must consent on your behalf, as Korean law requires. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you need your guardian's permission regardless of age.

Accounts

You can play as a guest or sign in with a Google account. A guest account lives in one browser and cannot be recovered: clearing your browser storage ends it, and nothing on our side can bring it back. Signing in is what makes progress persist.

You are responsible for what happens under your account. Do not share it, sell it, buy one, or let somebody else play on it.

You can ask us to delete your account at any time by writing to [email protected].

Gold and XP have no cash value

Gold and XP exist only inside Retix. They cannot be purchased, and there is no way to spend real money in the game at all. They cannot be sold, traded between players, transferred out, withdrawn, exchanged for money, or converted into anything of real-world value.

Because nothing can be bought, nothing can be refunded. Gold, XP, levels, unlocks and upgrades are a licence to use features inside the game, not property, and they end when the account does.

We may change reward weights, prices and balance figures. Doing so does not entitle anyone to compensation.

Rules of conduct

Do not do any of the following.

• Cheat. That includes modified clients, aimbots, wallhacks, speed or teleport hacks, macros, scripts, bots and anything else that plays for you or removes a limit the game imposes.
• Exploit a bug for advantage instead of reporting it.
• Choose a display name, clan name or custom skin that is hateful, sexual, threatening, harassing, or that impersonates somebody else.
• Harass, threaten or target another player.
• Attack the service: denial of service, unauthorised access, probing for vulnerabilities, or scraping at a rate that degrades it for other people.
• Resell access, or use the service commercially without written permission.

What you make

The skin editor lets you create a character skin and share it as a code. You keep whatever rights you have in what you make, and by sharing it in Retix you give us permission to display it to other players inside the game.

You are responsible for what you create. We can remove any skin, name or clan name that breaks the rules above, and we can act on reports from other players. Reports go through the in-game report button or to [email protected].

Cheating and suspensions

The match server measures play against published limits, listed on the anti-cheat page. A match that exceeds one of them is flagged.

Two flagged matches result in a seven-day suspension of the account. The system has no automatic appeal path. If you believe a suspension is wrong, write to [email protected] with the approximate time and mode, and a person will look at it.

Serious or repeated abuse can end an account permanently. Progress on a terminated account is not restored and, since it was never bought, is not compensated.

The service can change

Retix is under active development. Modes, maps, weapons, classes, balance figures and features can change or be removed, and the service can be interrupted for maintenance or discontinued entirely. We do not promise a particular level of availability.

Ownership

Retix, its name, its artwork, its code and its game design belong to retix. These terms do not transfer any of that to you. They grant a personal, revocable, non-exclusive licence to play the game.

No warranty and limits on liability

Retix is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost progress, or for anything arising from your use of the service, except where the law does not permit that limit. Nothing here excludes liability for death, personal injury or fraud caused by us.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, and disputes go to the courts of the Republic of Korea. If you are a consumer, this does not remove the protections of the mandatory law of the country you live in.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change, the date at the top changes and the new version is published here. Continuing to play after that means accepting the new version.
